Audivelle Music Player is a local-first music player. Library processing stays on your device. Nothing you play, scan, or import is sent to the developer. The only feature that contacts the internet with library information is the optional album-cover lookup described below, which you start yourself. There is no account, no advertising, and no analytics, crash-reporting or attribution library anywhere in the app.

The app can read music indexed by the operating system and folders you explicitly choose with the system picker. It stores imported music, file metadata, favourites, playlists, queue and resume state, selected-folder references, and preferences on your device. These are used only for playback and library features. Folder access is read-only and can be removed in Music Sources. Cloud backup and device-to-device transfer of app data are switched off.

Online album-cover lookup

The app can fetch missing album artwork, but only when you tap Look up a cover online. It is off by default and never runs on its own. When you tap it, the app sends the album title and artist name of that one album over HTTPS to MusicBrainz and the Cover Art Archive, which are public music databases, and displays any artwork they return.

No audio file, file path, account, device identifier, or advertising identifier is sent — only those two pieces of text. These services are independent of the developer and are not acting on the developer's behalf; their own privacy practices apply to the request, and their terms require the app to identify itself with a contact address in each request. The developer operates no server of its own and keeps no record of your lookups.

Wi-Fi Import

Wi-Fi Import

When you explicitly start Wi-Fi Import, the app reads local Wi-Fi state and its local IP address to run a temporary import server on your phone. A file selected in your browser is sent directly from that browser to your phone. It is not sent to the developer or to any cloud service.

The local transfer uses unencrypted HTTP, because a phone cannot obtain a browser-trusted certificate for an ad-hoc address. Use a network you trust, do not share the one-time import address, and stop Import when finished. The server stops automatically when the app leaves the foreground.

UPnP and SMB browsing is restricted to private address ranges by an allowlist that is re-checked after every redirect, and a hostname is accepted only if every address it resolves to is private. Nothing about these servers or their contents is reported to the developer.

Microphone and Music Identification

This version does not include Music Identification. The app does not request microphone permission, and the RECORD_AUDIO permission is not present in the released package. No audio is recorded and nothing is sent to any recognition service. If a future version adds this feature it will be optional, will require your explicit tap and permission, and this policy will be updated to name the processor before that version ships.

System media controls and connected playback routes may receive now-playing metadata, such as track title and artist, to provide the playback you asked for. On Android the app uses a media-playback foreground service only while supporting user-initiated playback.

No accounts, advertising, or analytics

The app has no user account, no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, and no crash-reporting upload. Music and library metadata are not uploaded by the scan, folder, playback, or Wi-Fi Import features. Cleartext traffic is disabled application-wide. The album-cover lookup above is the sole outbound exception, and it sends text to a public database rather than to the developer.

Retention and deletion

App-private files and preferences can be removed by uninstalling the app or clearing its storage in system settings. Folder access can be revoked at any time in Music Sources or in the operating system's permission settings. The developer operates no server and holds no copy of your data, so there is nothing for the developer to delete on request. Album-cover lookups go directly from your device to the public services named above; any record of a request is held by those services under their own policies.

Where this claim stops. The statements above come from source review and unit tests, not from an outside audit — nobody independent has security-tested this app, and it is not described as audited, pen-tested or certified. Wi-Fi Import is not encrypted, so anyone watching your local network can read its traffic.
