What the extension does

It reshapes the sound of a page you are already playing — lifting speech out of background noise, evening out loud and quiet passages, and limiting harshness — so dialogue is easier to follow. The processing is done by the browser's own Web Audio engine, inside the tab, on the audio the page is already producing. The extension is inactive until you switch it on for a tab.

The extension keeps three things in the browser's local extension storage on this computer: the preset and strength you selected, the list of sites you chose to keep it enabled on, and a small flag recording whether you have seen the first-run explanation. It uses local storage rather than browser-account sync, so these values are not copied to your other devices and not uploaded to your browser vendor by this extension.

Data collection

The extension collects nothing. It does not read page text, form fields, passwords, cookies, or the content of any request. It does not build a profile, does not assign an identifier of any kind, and has no account, sign-in or licence check. The audio it processes is handled as a live signal inside the tab: it is never written to disk, never buffered for analysis, and never leaves the page it came from.

The names of sites you enable it on are stored, by you, on your own computer, so the extension can switch itself on the next time you visit them. That list is a setting, not a browsing history: it contains only what you chose, and nothing is added to it by visiting a page.

Data transmission

None. The extension makes no network request of its own. There is no server operated by the developer for it to contact, no telemetry endpoint, no update ping beyond the one the browser's own extension store performs, and no remotely-loaded code — every script it runs is contained in the package you installed.

None. The extension bundles no advertising SDK, no analytics SDK, no crash-reporting SDK and no third-party library that phones home. Your data is not sold, rented, or shared with anyone, because none of it is collected in the first place. The extension store you install from is a separate party with its own privacy policy, and the developer receives from it only the aggregate statistics the store chooses to show — never anything about an individual user.

Retention

Audio is not retained at all: each processed sample exists only for as long as it takes to reach your speakers, and the audio graph is torn down when you switch the extension off, leave the site, or close the tab. Your settings are retained on your own computer until you change them, reset them, or uninstall the extension. The developer retains nothing, because the developer receives nothing.

Changes

If a future version of this extension declares a new permission, stores something new, or makes any network request, this page is updated with a new effective date before that version is published, and the corresponding store disclosure is updated with it.

The extension is in development and has not been published on any extension store yet, so this policy describes the build currently in development rather than a shipped, reviewed package. The statements above come from the extension's own manifest and source, not from an outside audit.
